Content follows the New World Translation and the chronology and understanding published by Jehovah's Witnesses (e.g., creation of Adam in 4026 B.C.E.; Jerusalem's destruction in 607 B.C.E., which differs from the 587/586 B.C.E. date used in most secular scholarship). Where the Bible gives ages or explicit intervals, dates are calculated from them; elsewhere dates are approximate era placements, marked "approx."

The tree deliberately stops at the apostle John — the last surviving apostle and, among people who could be described as alive during Jesus' earthly life, the last known to have died (traditionally, in Ephesus, around 100 C.E.).
